St Andre MLA Viresh Borkar who attended his first gram sabha after getting elected as MLA, remained present till the end.
Borkar chided the panchayat authorities for not inviting him for the gram sabha and despite requests by deputy sarpanch Marvin Gonsalves to have a seat on the dais preferred to sit among the villagers.
“I have not been officially invited by the panchayat to attend the gram sabha and hence I will sit with the villagers,” Borkar stated.
