Laghu Udyog Bharati “ Goa Chapter organised the MSME Adhiveshan 2.0 at the Amazing Goa Summit and Expo, held at Dr Shyama Prasad Stadium in Bambolim.
The Adhiveshan featured expert speakers, including Maheshwar Marathe, who discussed ‘New Era Incentives for MSMEs’, and Abhay B Fulke, Senior Scientist at CSIR-NIO Mumbai, who spoke on ‘Waste to Wealth: An R&D Innovation for Transforming India’s Bioeconomy’.
The event also included a panel discussion on ‘Opportunities and Challenges Facing MSMEs in Goa’, moderated by LUB Executive Committee Member Pallavi Salgaocar. The panellists were Pravimal Abhishek IAS, MD of GIDC, Manguirish Raikar, Chairman of Assocham Goa, Aniruddh Dempo, President of GSIA, PP Kulkarni, Assistant Director MSME DFO Goa, and LUB Executive Council Member Rahul Parab.
A Vendor Development Programme was also held, featuring heads from public sector units such as NBCC, Mormugao Port Trust, Goa Shipyard, and ONGC. The MSME Awards were presented, with the Start-up Category Award going to ‘Lit Air’ founders Rohan Nadkarni and Sachin Shah. The Scale-up Category Award was given to the owners of Zantye’s Cashewnuts (Pravin Zantye, Siddharth Zantye, and Rohit Zantye), and the Women Leading MSME Category Award was presented to entrepreneur Sneha Bhagwat of Oorja Wellness Centre.
The leadership of Laghu Udyog Bharati “ Goa Chapter also changed, with Pallavi Salgaocar taking over as President from Rajkumar Kamat. The new office bearers for the term 2025-27 are Mudit Agarwal as General Secretary, Jayesh Raikar as Vice President, Vibhor Keny as Treasurer, and Rahul Parab as Joint Secretary.
The event was attended by Industries Minister Mauvin Godinho, and Suresh Prabhu praised Laghu Udyog Bharati “ Goa Chapter for organising the programme and for driving innovation, growth, and prosperity for Goa’s business community.
