Upon receiving a phone call on Saturday at 22.59 hours informing about one person found lying after a self-accident, a police team along with the 108 reached Dabholkarwada-Morjim, Pernem.
On reaching the spot the person was found dead, and the inquiry revealed that when the man was riding the motorcycle, bearing registration number GA 03 H 8812, from Morjim towards Ashwem, he lost control over his motorcycle at Dabholkarwada-Morjim and dashed against laterite stone rock at the side of the road and further succumbed to his injuries.
A personal search revealed his identified as Vinod s/o Bhamhadev Gawas, age 30 and resident of Fanaswadi, Mangeli, Maharashtra. The body of the deceased was shifted to GMC, Bambolim morgue for postmortem. The relatives arrived on Sunday, the postmortem was held and later the body was handed over to his brother Apa Gawas for final rites.
