Revolutionary Goans has demanded the passage of the People of Goan Origin (POGO) bill during the ongoing assembly session.
In a press release, RG said that on Friday they will submit to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant letters signed by thousands of Goans demanding the passage of the POGO bill.
The press release further stated that Revolutionary Goans Chief Manoj Parab said they are demanding that all government jobs be given to locals, most jobs in the private sector should be reserved for Goans and people from other states should not be allowed to get a voter identity card, purchase property in the state.
“The draft POGO bill was provided to all the 40 MLA’s before the last Monsoon Session and none of them tabled it in the House and hence we decided to take the bill to the people. This time as well the bill has not come up for discussion,” said Manoj.
