Dropping cryptic clues in his address to party workers in Goa, BJP national president JP Nadda on Thursday called for the creation of a 'code of conduct' for society, while uring party workers to bring those following the party of adharma (non righteousness) onto the path of dharma (righteousness).Nadda who addressed a series of party workers in Amona, Valpoi and Bicholim, also extolled the leadership of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while also expressing confidence about the party coming to power in the 2022 state assembly polls.
"We need to work towards creating a code of conduct that is good for society. We need to work together in Goa, to develop the state under PM Modi's Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas aur Sabka Prayaas," Nadda said at a meeting at Amona.
Nadda also visited the local Sateri temple and sought blessings of the goddess.
Speaking in a cryptic tongue, Nadda also said that there was a need to bring the people of Goa on the path of righteousness.
"We have to work to bring them on the path of dharma. Dharma, as in what is right and good for society, what is the code of conduct, what is good for everyone," the national BJP president also said.
Later speaking at a party meeting at Valpoi, Nadda said that with Goa closing in on 100 per cent double vaccination, the state's tourism footfalls were bound to increase in the immediate future.
"When I say 100 percent vaccination. The first dose has been administered to 12 lakh people and the second dose has reached 10 lakh. As a result, tourism which had shrunk due to the corona pandemic is now growing... As a result the tourism footfall has risen from 15 to 20 per cent to 80 per cent. We have to remember this," Nadda said.
Nadda also chided West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, whose Trinamool Party and the Aam Aadmi Party respectively, are trying to make inroads into Goa.
"When elections are near, political parties descend and initiate discussions. I do not want to discuss about anyone. There are many political parties arriving in Goa and wooing people. Ask them what have they reduced West Bengal to," Nadda said.
"In Delhi, they (AAP) have left the infrastructure to the central government and their politics is all about advertisements. Goans should reject their so-called path of development and take the BJP ahead," Nadda also said.
At Valpoi, Nadda also lauded the dynamism of the Health Minister, who he said had ambitious plans to improve Goa's infrastructure.
"40 per cent exclusive reservation for Goans is not a small thing. National Institutes are built with national aspirations. But we said, national inspirations always take place after taking into account regional sentiments," Nadda said, referring to the 40 per cent reservation of seats for Goans at the National Institute of Technology in Goa.
