Those who are aggrieved should approach higher authorities: Santa Cruz Dy Sarpanch

OLD GOA

Clarifying on the allegations made against the ruling panel, St Cruz Dy Sarpanch Domnic Pereira has stated that those who are aggrieved with them should approach the higher authorities with their grievances.

“We are not the final authority and there are higher authorities above use, and those aggrieved should approach them,” Pereira said.

On the statement that the panchayat is resorting to ‘dadagiri’, Pereira said that if any such act is done against anybody then they should approach the police.

“We have never done ‘dadagiri’ and those who think otherwise they should file complaint with the police,” he added.

On the question of selective targeting of those raising their voices, Pereira said that earlier no action was initiated on complaints.

“Now, with us taking action some people feel that they are being targeted which is not the case. But again, I reiterate that such persons should approach the higher authorities,” Pereira added.
