A resident had a lucky escape as a mango tree came crashing down on a house at Dhasolwado-Marcaim on Thursday at around 2 pm.
Lakshmi Govind Naik escaped unharmed as she was outside the house when the incident took place. The house, was, however, damaged in the incident.
On receiving information, a fire brigade went to the site and cleared the tree. Marcaim Sarpanch Sarvesh Jalmi later inspected the damaged house.
OLD GOAA 45-year-old taxi driver was injured in a self-accident at the Old Goa flyover in which the taxi veered off the road and hit a street light pole at the divider, on Thursday evening.According to police sources, the driver Saib Lal was proceeding from the Kadamba highway road towards Corlim when on reaching the Old Goa flyover, the vehicle veered and hit the pole.
