Two try to sell 1,000 sq mtrs of land using forged documents, booked

PANAJI: The Panaji Police have booked two persons for allegedly forging property documents to illegally sell a plot located in Morombi-o-Grande, Merces. According to the police, the accused identified as Suresh Shet and Sheetal Shet are charged with preparing a fraudulent agreement dated October 15, 1999 in the name of Gunvanti Folkar and others to sell the plot measuring 1000 sq mtrs illegally.   

The FIR, registered based on a complaint by Folkar, also states that the accused produced these forged papers as genuine in the Court of Civil Judge Senior Division “A” Panaji during the hearing of a special suit. No arrest has been made, as per records till Wednesday evening.
