PANAJI: Hundreds of children from various Catechism classes dressed as their favourite saints as the Catechetical Apostolate of St Thomas Church, Aldona, celebrated All Saints’ Day during the 8.30 am Eucharistic Celebration on Sunday. Each class was represented by a child dressed as its patron saint, leading the opening procession accompanied by the hymn ‘When the Saints Go Marching In’. During his homily, Parish Priest Fr Joe Rodrigues reminded the children that “Heaven is not a museum of saints; it is a hospital for sinners”. Three children dressed as St Joseph Vaz, Mother Teresa and St Carlo Acutis shared inspiring insights into the saints’ lives and messages. They highlighted courage in faith, selfless service, doing small things with great love and keeping Jesus at the centre of life. The celebration reminded children that sainthood begins with faith, prayer, kindness and love in everyday life.
