Ponda: A bike rider was injured in an accident with a truck in Khandepar on Thursday morning. The injured rider, identified as 35-year-old Deeparaj Dasu Naik from Bhamai-Pali, was taken to the Goa Medical College (GMC) for further treatment. Ponda Police have registered the accident and conducted an investigation.
According to reports, the bike (registration number GA-04-K-7369) was heading from Khandepar to Ponda when it collided with a truck (registration number GA-05-T-2653) that was taking a turn on the road. After the accident, the injured rider was initially taken to the sub-district hospital by a 108 ambulance and later transferred to GMC for further treatment. Ponda Police are further investigating this case.
