Dabolim Airport has booked an offence against a passenger from Andhra Pradesh for endangering other passengers on board a flight in the wee hours of Monday.
According to Dabolim Airport Police, the incident took place at about 1 am on Monday when a passenger Yenduri Pavan Kalyan, a native of Guntur, Andhra-Pradesh, was seated in the Indigo plane.
The plane was scheduled for departure from Goa to Hyderabad, when Kalyan allegedly tampered with the Over Wing Exit PLA CARD (starboard side exit door), which resulted in a technical glitch, thereby endangering other passengers travelling in the flight.
Dabolim Airport Police sources said a case was registered against Kalyan under Section 125 of BNS, following a complaint from Shahnawaz Shaikh, Assistant manager Security Interglobe Aviation Ltd. (Indigo). Goa International Airport, Dabolim.
Police said a notice u/s 35/3 has also been served on the accused and PSI Akansh Fadte Dessai is conducting further investigation.
