CANACONA:
A scooter rider was injured while the pillion rider escaped unhurt after their scooter went off a road at Agonda late Tuesday evening.
According to sources, two brothers from Bhatpal were travelling on their scooter from Agonda and were negotiating the steep slope at Dumane, when the scooter rider lost control and the scooter went off the road.
The scooter rider suffered injuries to his legs and hands, while his elder brother on the pillion escaped unhurt.
Some domestic tourists travelling behind in scooters had witnessed the mishap and stopped to help them.
A 108 ambulance later shifted the injured rider to the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Canacona.
