11 DySPs transferred, four given addl charge

Goa Police on Monday transferred 11 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySP) and assigned additional responsibilities to four others, in line with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant’s directive issued a month ago to transfer DySPs and Police Inspectors who have been in the same post for more than three years.

According to the order, based on recommendations from the Police Establishment Board, Gurudas Kadam, currently posted at Konkan Railway, has been assigned as Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Vasco. Sudesh Narvekar, currently with Coastal Security, has been posted to North Traffic while Shaikh Salim is shifted from Vasco to Coastal Security, and Siddhant Shirodkar from North Traffic to SDPO Margao.

SDPO Bicholim Sagar Ekoskar has been posted at Quepem replacing Nilesh Rane, who will now serve as DySP Konkan Railway. SDPO Pernem Jivba Dalvi has been moved to Bicholim while DySP Cyber Crime and Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) Ashish Shirodkar is posted to Pernem, replacing Dalvi. Rajendra Prabhudesai (HQ/South) will serve as DySP Traffic South and Shivram Vaigankar (SB South) has been posted as SDPO Ponda “ a position which had fallen vacant after the elevation of former SDPO Arshi Aadil to Superintendent of Police. DySP Amit Borkar, with the IRB 1st and 2nd Battalions, is now DySP GRP-II.

Similarly, DySP Rupesh Shetgaonkar has been given additional charge of SB South while retaining his post in the North. DySP Naresh Mangadkar from the 3rd Battalion has been assigned additional duties with the ATS, Suraj Halankar (DySP Crime-II) is also the Cyber Crime DySP, and DySP Wilson D’Souza (MT) is also assigned DySP HQ in Panaji.
