The most noteworthy among these incidents occurred at Maulinguem where around 1,200 voters decided to boycott polls at Booths 18 and 19 of Maulinguem. Voters cited the state government’s abject failure to provide basic amenities, roads and other facilities in the area and no voter cast their vote in these two polling booths of Maulinguem.

PONDA: Around 500 agitated locals from Mapa-Panchawadi boycotted the ZP elections on Saturday, after accusing the State government and the local MLA of failing to resolve the crematorium issue. Locals complained that the issue had been pending for several years and the State government had not done anything in the matter.
