A 65-year-old voter from Marra-Pilerne died at a polling booth in Maikavaddo on Saturday morning.
According to sources, the incident took place at about 8.30 am when Udai Shirodkar was standing in a queue at the Maikavaddo polling station to cast his vote.
He collapsed to the ground after reportedly suffering a heart attack and a 108 ambulance was summoned to move Shirodkar to the Asilo hospital in Mapusa. But he was declared dead by doctors.
