CANACONA
A 12-day Goa Consumer Expo dealing with various goods, games, food and entertainment began at Chaudi-Canacona on Wednesday.
Dy Speaker and Canacona MLA Isidore Fernandes inaugurated the event at Shri Mallikarjun ground, opposite the Canacona Dy Collector office complex. The expo will be open from 10.30 am to 8.30 pm everyday till February 21.
While organisers have assured a full shopping experience under a single roof, Fernandes said such an expo in Canacona after a gap of 2 years and the challenging times during Covid restrictions would help people of Canacona to come out in open with necessary safety protocols.
“The people of Canacona have taken precaution and have virtually defeated Covid. They now deserve a much-needed break. The Consumer Expo will help people come out of their stress such a long period,” said Fernandes.
