Travellers in the State can now fly directly to Rajkot every day, with the first-ever direct flight between Rajkot and Goa taking off on Thursday.
Terming this as a historic day for the Saurashtra region in Gujarat, Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia stated that Gujarat Rajya Sabha MP Rambhai Mokariya flagged off the first Rajkot-Goa inaugural flight.
The union minister said the daily flight by Spice Jet will depart from Goa at 2 pm and will arrive at Rajkot at 7.25 pm.
Scindia informed that besides Goa, Rajkot is now also connected to five major Indian cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
