2 arrested persons in Melauli violence released on bail

Two persons, Shailendra Velingkar and Vishwesh Prabhu, who were arrested in connection with the clashes with police last week, were released on bail by a local court.

Meanwhile, cases have been registered against over 150 people in connection with the clashes, which had left several police and protestors injured.

The anticipatory bail applications of many villagers who were booked under attempt to murder case are expected to come up for hearing on Tuesday.
