Govt sensitive towards farmers: BJP national spokesperson

Central government is studying the observations made by the Supreme Court regarding the farm Bill’s and after study government will place its side before the Apex court, BJP’s national spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain said on Monday. 

While addressing a press conference in Panaji, Hussain said that government is sensitive towards farmers. He said that three farm laws passed by the Parliament were in the best interests of the farmers of the country.

“I can’t speak more about it as the matter is subjudice. I can only say that the matter will be studied and the final decision will be taken and conveyed to the SC,” said Hussain. 

“We are sensitive towards the requirements of the farmers, but the laws passed by the Centre are in the interest of the farmers. We have never said that the Minimum Support Price (MSP) or the Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) mandis will be scrapped,” the BJP national spokesperson added.
