Acting on a tip-off, the Old Goa police arrested two youth on charges of possessing ganja.
According to police, information was received that the two persons namely Sai More (22) and Om More (18), both residing in Panaji, were going to arrive at the Dhauji-Old Goa helipad to deliver the ganja to prospective customers.
Accordingly a team was formed under the supervision of Panaji SDPO Sudesh Naik and Old Goa PI Satish Padwalkar.
The team, led by PSI Sudin Redkar, laid in wait for the two to arrive and caught them at the spot while being in possession of 43 grams of ganja worth Rs 43,000. Accordingly, both the accused were arrested by the police under section 20 (b)(ii)(A) read with section 29 of NDPS Act 1985. Further investigation is conducted by LPSI Manisha Mardolkar.
