VASCO:
Verna police have booked two persons from Zuarinagar-Sancoale on charges of assaulting a man and his mother.
Sources at Verna police said Sagar Nandu Rathod of Zuarinagar had complained that the two accused, Vijayendra Kumar Naik and Anil Naik, had assaulted him and his mother at Upasnagar Junction in Sancoale on October 13.
“The complainant informed that both accused with their common intention abused him and his mother and assaulted them with slaps. The accused Vijayendra Kumar Naik also assaulted him with a beer bottle on his neck causing him injuries,” said the source.
Verna police have registered an offence under Sections 118(1), 352 r/w 3(5) BNS and a Notice under section 35/3 of BNSS has been served on both accused persons.
PSI Pramila Fernandes is carrying out further investigation under the supervision of PI Melson Colaco and guidance of Mormugao DySP Salim Shaikh.
