PERNEM:
Demands for money from his mum took a tragic turn when a 14-year-old boy ended his life at Porascade-Pernem in the wee hours of Monday.
According to Pernem police, the boy had been demanding money from his mother, who is presently working in Dubai and when she reportedly declined to send him the money, the boy is reported to have committed suicide at the residence of his uncle.
The uncle found the boy dead in the house on Monday morning. Police conducted the panchanama and sent the body for an autopsy at the GMC hospital at Bambolim. No foul play has been suspected by family members of the deceased.
Pernem PSI Sahil Naik is conducting further investigation.
