Two youth were stabbed in a fight between two groups from Sada and Zuarinagar at a stall outside the Vasco Railway station in the wee hours of Thursday morning, Vasco police said. One person has been arrested in this connection.

According to police sources, the incident occurred at around 2.30 am when Pranav Barade (25) and Mulayam Singh Yadav (23) from Zuarinagar and Pramod Toraskar and three others from Sada were at the stall.

Sources said an argument broke out between the two groups over payment of bill to the stall owner, leading to a fight between the two groups.

As the fight went out of control, a person from the Sada group removed a knife and stabbed both the youth from Zuarinagar. While Barade was stabbed in the stomach, Yadav sustained injuries on his hand.

Both victims were rushed to GMC for treatment.

Vasco police later registered an offence and arrested Pramod Toraskar in this connection under Sections 504, 506(ii), 324 rw 34 IPC. Vasco PSI Diogo Gracias is investigating the case under the supervision of PI Nilesh Rane.
