These highly-valued donation coupons will be released at a special function at the Government Sports Complex at Borimol Quepem on August 2 at 8 am and there is already a buzz in the area.
This year marks the 38th anniversary of the Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal at Quepem, and the donation coupons are widely recognised across Goa and beyond, considering the high reputation of the Mandal, the transparency in selecting the winners, and the bumper prizes on offer.
Such has been the interest and trust among the public, that crowds line up in long queues right from the wee hours of Day 1, when coupons are sold to the public. Many even spend the night outside the venue, eager to purchase the donation coupons.
Inquiries have revealed that a total of 1.2 lakh donation coupons, each priced at ₹500, will be made available this year.
