According to reliable sources, the AAP leadership is almost ready with its new list and the names will be announced on Tuesday.
It may be recalled that during a recent press meet in Canacona to enroll about 25 prominent citizens into the party fold, AAP Goa desk in-charge and central leader Ashutosh had informed in the presence of Elvis Gomes that its candidates for all 40 assembly seats would be announced before November-end.
“Along with a candidate for Canacona constituency, AAP will announce about six candidates on Tuesday,” confirmed the source.
Incidentally, efforts were on to persuade a doctor from Canacona taluka to contest from Canacona constituency. Most AAP volunteers, however, preferred the present convenor to take the responsibility to fight the assembly elections.
In a related development, Ravi Komarpant, a founder member of AAP who also held responsibilities in the State and national level resigned from the primary membership of the party.
Addressing a letter to the AAP secretary, Komarpant stated that he was resigning from the primary membership of AAP Goa without assigning any reason.
