A 25-year-old ice factory worker from Chattisgarh ended his life in his room at Zuari-Goa Velha on Wednesday.
Agassaim police said they received a call at around 10 am regarding the incident and a police team went to the site and found the door of the room locked.
Acting on a request by police, Old Goa fire personnel led by Amit Revonkar broke open the door and found the body of Amit Minz in the room.
The police conducted the panchanama and sent the body to GMC for a post-mortem.
The police have informed that it is a case of suicide and that the body will be handed over to a relative to be taken to Chattisgarh for final rites.
Agassaim police is conducting further investigations in the matter.
