Mardol police arrested Aniket Kandolkar (27) of Marcela late Monday night in connection with a job-for-cash scam.
Kandolkar is allegedly an accomplice of Dipashree Sawant who is in police custody.
Ponda police had tried to arrest Kandolkar in connection with similar accusations, but Kandolkar had obtained an anticipatory bail from the court fearing arrest.
Mardol police then interrogated Aniket Kandolkar on Monday and arrested him late at night.
He was produced before a court on Tuesday morning and was remanded to custody.
