28-year-old Mapusa resident dies in road mishap

MAPUSA

A Mapusa resident died in a self-accident in the wee hours of Wednesday, Mapusa Police informed.

According to police, the deceased identified as Tahir Khan (28), a resident of Khorlim, Mapusa died on the spot after he lost control of his two-wheeler and fell in a field at Parra.

The accident occurred when the deceased was travelling from Saligao to Mapusa on his Fasino scooter at around 3.30 am.

The deceased who suffered head injuries was first rushed to the North Goa District Hospital, Mapusa and later to GMC, Bambolim.

Police suspect the deceased may have dozed off while riding leading to the tragic mishap. Mapusa Police is investigating further.
