PONDA: The Ponda Police has arrested three youth from Margao in connection with molesting and assaulting girls from Panaji.
Sources informed that the accused and the victims, in two different groups, were picnicking at a farm in Ponda taluka where the incident occurred.
The accused are identified as Abdul Khan (19), Dadabir Talwar (20) and Imran Khan (18).
The incident had occurred on Saturday afternoon when the girls from the Panaji group along with their friends were picnicking at a farm where the 3 accused were also present.
Both the groups had arguments over some issue and later the accused allegedly assaulted the complainants.
Police are further investigating the case.
