BICHOLIM
A 30-year-old man from Kumbharwada-Mayem died when his scooter and a motorcycle collided with each other at Bordem-Bicholim on Friday evening.
According to reports, the mishap took place in front of Dindayal Supermarket. Uday Shet fell on the ground and as he had not worn a helmet at the time, he sustained serious head injuries. He was rushed to the Bicholim Health Centre, but was declared dead on arrival.
The motorcycle rider from Assonora also fell off the motorcycle, but sustained minor head injuries as he was wearing a helmet.
A Bicholim Traffic Police team went to the site to regulate traffic, while a Bicholim police team later conducted a panchanama of the incident.
