3rd body recovered in Sanguem car mishap

SANGUEM

Sanguem Police with the help of personnel from Fire and Emergency Services on Tuesday recovered the body of the third victim of the car accident which took place at Taripanto Bridge at Sanguem on Monday night.

The body of Milind Naik (38) was recovered at about 10 am after it was found floating in the river near the place of accident.

Though authorities had requisitioned the services of naval divers to locate the body, the naval team which was on its way to Sanguem returned midway after the body was found floating in the river in the morning.

Earlier on Monday night, the Fire and Emergency Services with the help of police and locals had retrieved the bodies of Rekha Yadav Naik (35) and her 2-year-old son Divyansh Naik from the ill-fated car.

The body of Rekha’s husband, Milind Naik, who was driving the car at the time of the accident, was recovered on Tuesday morning.

It is reportedly learnt that the family was going to their rented place at Cacora-Curchorem after a visit to Rekha's parents, who reside at Kuinamol-Sanguem.
