The Valpoi Community Health Centre (CHC) has received a good response to the third phase of the Covid vaccination drive in Sattari taluka, with senior citizens above 60 years and those between 45 and 60 with co-morbid conditions coming forward to receive their jab.
“Healthcare workers and frontline warriors like police personnel were vaccinated in the first two phases. The response was good in the two phases and there were no adverse side effects reported. Till date, we have administered 1,248 doses,” said Valpoi CHC Health Officer Dr Shyam Kankonkar.
“The Covid vaccine is important to fight this pandemic. We have been conducting this vaccine drive every day, except on Sundays, for senior citizens, frontline workers and health workers,” said Dr Kankonkar.
