The day-long mutation camp organised by the Salcete Mamlatdar saw the taluka Mamlatdars certifying a total of 94 mutation cases and verifying 115 files.
In all, around 685 mutation files have been disposed of during the camp, while around 591 duplicate files were rejected.
Salcete Mamlatdar Prataprao Gaonkar informed that the day-long camp evoked good response from the people, with as many as 177 people approaching the Mamlatdars and the Joint Mamlatdars with their mutation cases. Around 42 advocates remained present for the mutation camp in the Courts of Mamlatdar and Joint Mamlatdar.
“This case has been organised as per the request of the South Goa Advocates Association in the courts of Mamlatdar and Joint Mamlatdar of Salcete. The mutation camp started at around 9.30 am in all the courts. The staffs of this office including the Talathis were called for the duty by office order and were deployed in the respective courts to assist the Mamlatdar and Joint Mamlatdars,” he added.
He added: “All together 177 persons including 42 advocates remained present for the said mutation camp who were duly attended in the courts of Mamlatdar and Joint Mamlatdar. Total 94 mutation cases were certified also 115 files were verified. So also 13 notices have been issued and 591 duplicate mutation files were rejected. In all 685 mutation files are disposed,” he added.
The mutation camp which started at 9.30 am ended at 5 pm as there were no persons/applicants remained unattended.
Incidentally, senior officers have been trying to figure out the number of mutation cases certified and disposed of by the Mamlatdar and the Joint Mamlatdars. For, the report compiled by the Mamlatdar showed that at least four Joint mamlatdars have not certified a single mutation case.
