Leader of Opposition inaugurating six arms high mast at Shree Satidevi Temple, Ambaulim.
Claiming that even religious places are not safe from dacoits and thieves, Cuncolim MLA Yuri Alemao stated that he has given priority to illuminate such places.
He was speaking after inaugurating a six arms high mast at Shree Satidevi Temple in Ambaulim of Cuncolim constituency.
“Several incidents of robberies have taken place at such sites across the State. We need to be vigilant to stop such incidents,” Alemao said.
“The illumination was much needed here at Ambaulim as people gather for prayers and religious programs. I am thankful to the villagers for supporting this project,” he said.
Informing that around 13 places High Mast have been installed in the last two months, Yuri said
“There are more 18 proposals from several places. They are under process and I am confident to install the High Mast soon,” Alemao said.
He thanked the locals for supporting such projects, which encourage concept of ‘development with consent’. Alemao said that works benefiting public are underway and his office is working on more proposals. Former Panch Nilesh Naik, Satyavan Kakodkar, Milagres Fernandes, Yeshwant Gaonkar, Armine Pires and others were present.
