70-yearÂ-old lady injured in accident

A 70-year-old lady was injured when she was knocked down by a four-wheeler at Margao.
According to Margao police, the incident occurred when a Tata Ace vehicle driven by one Sambhaji, was proceeding from old market, Margao to Dramapur. As it approached the old railway gate in Margao, the vehicle knocked down the lady, one Caitana, resident of Ambaji Fatorda, who
was proceeding on her Dio scooter.
The Margao police have registered an offence under Sections 279 and 337 of IPC.
Meanwhile, One Jestton, a resident of Carmona, was allegedly assaulted by two persons at
Carmona.
According to Colva police, the duo of Roswald and Rosendo, both residents of Carmona, are suspected to have allegedly assaulted one Jestton, also a resident of Carmona, thereby injuring him in the process.
Upon getting information, the Colva police registered an offence under Sections 323
read with 34 of IPC and Section 8 of Goa Children's Act. Further investigations are in
progress.
