A day after roping in Elvis, AAP lists 7 more to fight Goa polls

Offering no let up in its pace in the run up to the elections, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday unleashed its second list of candidates naming another seven who have thrown their hat in the ring including former Congress MLA Giovanni Karl Vaz. rnAnnouncing the names, AAP’s media head Rupesh shinkre said that the names were approved by the party’s political affairs committee headed by Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday.

On Wednesday the party inducted former bureaucrat Elvis Gomes who is expected to be the leading candidate in the State.   
Besides Vaz for Mormugao, the party has announced the names of Roila Clarina Fernandes a sitting panch and former sarpanch of Benaulim constituency, Raponkar leader Olencio Simoes for Cortalim, Surel Tilve a youth leader and member of the Konkani Bhasha Mandal to take on the might of MGP leader and PWD Minister Ramkrishna Dhavalikar in Marcaim.
