The AAP has assured to provide 24 hours medical service to the people and ban on sale of land to non-Goans, if it comes to power in Goa.
Speaking at APP’s ‘Goa Sanvad’ meeting convened at Dhargal Panchayat hall, Dr Sonia Signapurkar said if given chance to rule Goa, AAP will safeguard the interests of tenants and Mundkar.
“The BJP govt amended the present Tenants Act, putting the tenants to a hardship. If we come to power, we will free the Mundkars from the clutches of landlords. We will provide 24 hours medical service to the people and ban on sale of land to non-Goans,” said Signapurkar.
“There is rampant hill cutting and land is being sold in entire Pernem taluka. In fact, it is a big racket. We will also ban hill cutting activities. We will buy the land who want to sell it and give it to needy people at low rate. We will provide 80% jobs to those who have given their land for Mopa airport,” she said.
Devendra Prabhudessai said the government has failed to give jobs to Goan youth. “BJP had assured to create 50,000 jobs if it came to power. People trusted them, but BJP betrayed them They had also assured to stop casinos, but encouraged them,” said Deshprabhu.
Ajitsingh Rane said: “Corruption is going on in different ways. Tenancy Act was amended to help specific people, this is also a corruption,” said Rane and appealed to the people to teach a lesson to the one who betrayed them.
APP’s official candidate for Mandrem constituency Devendra Prabhudessai, Mayem constituency candidate Adv Ajitsingh Rane, Krishna Kanolkar, I Mascarenhas, Balkrishna Prabhu and others were present.
Dr Signapurkar said the issues raised by people of Pernem will be incorporated in Pernem taluka’s manifiesto.
