The Aam Aadmi Party will embark upon a “Zhadu Yatra” involving their chief ministerial candidate Elvis Gomes touring the entire length and breadth of the state with a motorcade.
“The Zhadu yatra is to take our chief ministerial candidate Elvis Gomes to all the 40 constituencies along with the local candidates. The AAP convoy will cover around three to four constituencies a day and introduce our chief ministerial candidate to the people of Goa,” party’s Panaji candidate Valmiki Naik said.
The name of the yatra derives from AAP's election symbol of broom which the party also seeks to popularise during the yatra.
The yatra will begin on January 17 at 9.30 am from Mandrem constituency and the party hopes to cover the entire State within 10-12 days.
