The South Goa Sessions Court on Thursday rejected the anticipatory bail application of accused Hemant Desai in the Xelvona murder case.
Additional Sessions Judge Sayonara Laad rejected the anticipatory bail plea of the applicant in the court on Thursday, paving the way for the Curchorem police to arrest the accused wanted in the murder of Suryakant Desai earlier this week.
The Curchorem police had filed a say in the South Goa Sessions Court vehemently opposing the anticipatory bail application of the applicant on ground that his interrogation in custody is required to unearth the facts of the murder. The police had also stated that the accused is required in custody to recover the weapon used in the murder of the deceased.
