The Maina-Curtorim Police have arrestedStanley Coutinho in connection with the sexual assault case involving an85-year-old woman from Nuvem.
Maina-Curtorim Police Station in-charge PI KapilNayak informed that the accused had been booked under Sections 332(b), 64(1),74 and 76 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) following the alleged incidentreported on July 8, 2026.
PI Nayak said the accused was apprehendedafter sustained efforts by the investigating team and has been taken intopolice custody for further investigation.
Further investigation into the case is inprogress.
