In a novel idea to drive home the demand for the demolition of the bungalow at the Old Goa heritage site, social activists Anthony D’Silva and Glen Cabral on Saturday came out with Old Man effigies with pictures of the bungalow.

The symbolic protest was held at the Lohia Maidan, Margao on Saturday evening.

D’Silva told the media that the duo have come with a symbolic protest on the long delay in razing down the alleged illegal structure at Old Goa and the burning issue of Mhadei.

He said the demolition of the bungalow would have been a perfect Christmas gift for the people of Goa.

On the Mhadei issue, D’Silva said that the government should wake from slumber and protect the interests of the State.
