Day two of the ongoing Agniveer rally held at the 3MTR centre at Dicarpale saw youngsters undergoing physical tests before they are sent for medical examination.
The medically fit candidates get the admit card for the common entrance examination scheduled at the 3MTR in November 2022.
Officials informed that the ongoing rally to shortlist Agniveers aspirants will continue till September 10. Around 7,000 Agniveers aspirants are participating in the rally with the hope to make it to the armed forces.
Sources said the present rally is only meant for the children of ex-servicemen and children of martyred soldiers.
“Presently 7,000 candidates are all set to undergo different tests, including physical and medical tests. Those who qualify, go for physical measurements and medical tests. The document verification of each candidate is done by a board of officers. Post the documentation, the candidates proceed for medical examination. The medically fit candidates get admit cards for the common entrance examination. The examination would be conducted at the 3 Military Training Regiment in November 2022,” sources informed.
When asked whether Goan youth are participating in the rally, sources informed that the ongoing rally is restricted only to the children of ex-servicemen and children of martyred soldiers.
“Youth from Goa and across the country can take part in a similar rally scheduled by year-end,” sources added.
