Panaji: Goa police have arrested a 23 year old man from Panipat, Haryana for sexually harassing a female co- passenger on Air India Delhi to Goa flight.
The man, identified as Jitender Jangian was arrested at Dabolim International Airport in South Goa after the victim, a woman from Janakpuri, New Delhi, filed a complaint accusing him outraging modesty.
According to the woman's complaint, the incident took place between 11 am and 1:20 pm on Air India Flight AI-885, which was traveling from Delhi to Goa. The woman stated that the man, who was sitting next to her, pulled over a blanket and started engaging in inappropriate behavior.
She also said that the accused deliberately kept the blanket open beside her during the act.
The woman reported the incident to the authorities after the flight landed at Dabolim Airport.
Jangian was placed under arrest under Sections 75 and 79 of the BNS Act.
