Aldona to discuss accounts on Dec 7

A special gram sabha has been convened at Aldona Panchayat on December 7, to discuss and finalize the statement of accounts, which the sarpanch had failed to submit at the earlier gram sabha.
At the July 26 gram sabha, Sarpanch Sandra Rodrigues had promised to convene special meeting on August 16, to present the statement of account but failed to do so.
“The special gram sabha to discuss the accounts statement will be held on the evening of December 7,” announced Deputy Sarpanch Charudatta Panjikar, who presided at the gram sabha. He said the special gram sabha on August 16 could not be held as the secretary had dual charge and the BDO failed to allot additional staff.
Later, the panchayat appointed members to various committees.
