Asserting that allegation levelled against him that he has a Portuguese passport is part of a concerted move to block him from getting the Congress ticket for the Nuvem seat, former Minister Aleixo Sequeira on Friday said he has never taken a Portuguese passport nor have travelled on a purported Portuguese passport to Portugal.
Addressing the media, Sequeira said he has definitely gone to Portugal and Europe, but have travelled to these countries
on his Indian Passport after taking necessary visas.
The former minister also rubbished allegations levelled by NCP Nuvem Block President Franky D’Mello that he owns properties in Portugal. He challenged Franky to prove the allegations. “Should Franky prove the allegations, I am making a public promise that I will gift the properties to him,” he said.
