The technicians of Ravindra Bhavan Baina, who were trained by Vasco fire service in firefighting, doused off the fire which was caught to the fiber wool inside the hall.
Ravindra Bhavan Baina chairman, Shekar Khadapkar said that the incident occurred in the afternoon. “The hall is booked for the next two days and the house keeping staff were getting it ready for the event. While cleaning the hall, they got some smell and on close observation they found that there was a fire due to short circuit. Before the fire could spread to the entire conference room, our technical team doused it off and the fire tender which rushed to the site later cleared the burnt portion,” said Khadapkar.
