The 2nd annual All Goa Mankurad Mango Festival 2019 organized by Transform Goa in association with Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, will be held at the Ravindra bhavan, Margao on May 12 from 3 pm.
Tree owners/vendors will sell their Mankurad mangoes and mango drinks and mango products, cakes, juices etc at the festival. Vendors will also participate in the Mankurad mango competition where cash prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd rankers. Prizes will also be awarded for the lucky entrants.
The festival will give an opportunity to the people to buy organic Mankurad mangoes from tree owners at below market prices.
“In order to promote Goemkarponn, we are promoting world class Mankurad mango, thus promoting Goem and Goemkarponn,” informed Chairman of Ravindra bhavan, Prashant Naik, while addressing the media.
Transform Goa Convenor John D’Sa said the objective of the non profit organization is to promote and take Mankurad mangoes to the world. A Goan, hailing from Cortalim, John lives in Doha-Qatar.
“I have got the opportunity to consume mangoes from all over the world that are imported in Qatar throughout the year”, he said, adding there is not better mango than Mankurad in the world.
