Admitting he had changed several parties in the past, Deputy Chief Minister Babu Ajgaonkar promised to be a permanent member of the BJP.
Addressing a campaign meeting in the port town, Ajgaonkar said despite so many change in parties, he had never seen a leader like late Manohar Parrikar, who worked for development till the very end of his life.
Ajgaonkar also said he had joined the BJP only to save the BJP government and accused MGP leader Sudin Dhavalikar of being extremely selfish.
“I have seen all political parties, but it is only the BJP that promotes development. I had an impression that the MGP was a party to take up issues of all sects and religions. But eventually, internal decisions were taken by the Dhavalikar brothers without taking us into
consideration.”
“Former MGP leader Lavu Mamledar was also humiliated in this party. Sudin did politics as per his convenience and self-interest,” said Ajgaonkar.
“BJP has never been partial or involved in communal politics and the schemes are being used by everyone today. Not a single Hindu, Muslim, Christian or anyone can say that they were denied schemes by the BJP,” Ajgaonkar said.
“It is our duty to promote the work of Narendra Modi and late Manokar Parrikar,” said Ajgaonkar and appealed to Goans to get both MPs elected in the Lok Sabha
polls.
