Amã Stays & Trails Villa Siolim - a new concept of homestays from the Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has been recognised as ‘Villa of the Year’ by MakeMyTrip at the recently held India's Favourite Homestays Awards (IFHA) at Taj Resort & Convention Centre in Dona Paula.

The IFHA is a people choice award to recognise and reward the growing community of homestay hosts in the domestic travel market.
Speaking on the occasion, Vincent Ramos, Senior Vice President “ Goa for IHCL said, “We are humbled and honoured to receive this prestigious recognition. The homestay segment has indeed picked momentum post the pandemic with a strong preference for private stays and locally imbibed experiences. amã Stays & Trails is India’s first branded product in the homestay market, we currently have 9 villas in Goa and are working towards expanding the brand in the state with new additions to the portfolio.”
Built in the 1940s, Villa Siolim is located in North Goa, in the pristine village of Siolim. A charming five-bedroom villa that combines Goan-Portuguese architecture of a bygone era and modern comforts to provide a home-like indulgence. Surrounded by manicured lawns, paved walkways and slanted red-tiled roofs with exposed beam ceilings, this magnificent marvel welcomes its guests at a latticed veranda. Wooden doors, arches and vintage tiles complement the contemporary amenities while modish decor and chic furnishings create a comforting space.
Additionally, amã Stays & Trails Amibika Vilas, Trivandrum in Kerela won ‘Heritage Homestay of the Year’. To be held annually, the IFHA is India’s first traveller choice award exclusively conceptualised for homestay properties and hosts by MakeMyTrip, a pioneer in India’s online travel industry. The awardee is chosen through a combination of jury assessment and consumer votes.
