Anil elected sarpanch of Poriem

Anil Majeek has been elected as sarpanch of Poriem-Sattari village panchayat, after defeating Bhiso Gaonkar by 4-3 votes.
The post of the sarpanch had been vacant since the past few days following the ouster of Bhiso Gaonkar in a no-confidence motion moved by four panchas.
Anil Majeek and Bhiso Gaonkar had filed their nominations to the post of sarpanch.
Three panchas - Grudas Gurao, Prajokta Salgaonkar and Narayan Mandrekar voted in favour of Anil Majeek.
After being elected, Majeek informed that he would complete all the pending works related to this panchayat and also assured that his group in the panchayat is committed to the welfare of all villagers under this panchayat.
